Created in 2007 This site replaces previous sites which may still come up if you Google Us. The Old sites cannot be updated , note the change of address if you are visiting this site having gone to one of the others

 

The Freethought History Research Group was founded to encourage interest and resarch into the negelected field of the history of atheism, infidelity, secularism and elated subjects.

 The FHRG group publishes pamphlets many of which have been out of print for decades. Authors include GW Foote and Thomas Paine. Two pamphlets are published a year and members receive a copy as part of their subscription

The Group  also publishes an annual journal, hopefully it will  eventually appear bi-annually. Again members receive this on publication. Members are invited to submit articles and reviews for publication. The FHRG also publishes a regular newsletter.

 

We also hold an annual general meeting, usually in London, followed by a lecture. The FHRG also cooperates with other freethought and radical groups and individuals in Britain and overseas.

 

Membership is £10 or £5 unwaged. Members receive a 10% discount on previously published pamphlets and issues of the journal.
